About the Division 

HENSOLDT is growing significantly, and so is public attention on defence technology. Communications plays a substantial part in how the company positions itself and how change succeeds. In this role, you set the course for external and internal communications and help build a modern, integrated communications function.

You are responsible for HENSOLDT's external and internal communications, from media relations to employee communications and leadership communication. You report directly to the Head of Communications & Marketing. In a growing industry environment of high strategic relevance, you ensure consistent positioning of the company towards employees, media and the public, and help build an integrated communications organisation.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing HENSOLDT's external communications: media relations, public positioning and reputation management
• Cultivating strong relationships with journalists and opinion leaders across print, broadcast and digital media, positioning HENSOLDT as a leading European defence electronics company
• Responsibility for internal communications, conveying strategic priorities and corporate developments effectively to employees
• Supporting the Executive Board and senior leaders in sensitive communication situations and acting as their sparring partner
• Responsibility for crisis communications and issues management, from scenario planning to advising Executive Management in critical situations
• Mangaging communication for company-wide transformation and change initiatives
• Coordinating internal and external channels together with Marketing, Branding, Exhibitions and the digital channel teams
• Leading and developing the External & Internal Communications team

Your Profile

• A successfully completed college degree in a relevant field
• Several years of leadership experience in corporate communications, ideally covering media relations and internal communications
• Proven track record in strategic communications within complex organisations
• Experience in crisis communications and in handling sensitive, high-visibility topics
• Hands-on experience in transformation and change communication, including narrative development and stakeholder management
• Thorough knowledge of print, broadcast and digital media and experience with integrated multi-channel communication
• Confident interaction with executive boards and leadership teams, strong political judgement
• Collaborative leadership style, reliable and calm under pressure
• Background in industry, technology, defence or aerospace is a plus
• Fluent German and English
