About the Division
HENSOLDT is currently undergoing a phase of rapid growth and strategic transformation. The “Transformation Communications Lead (m/f/d)” defines the communications architecture for the major transformation programs and ensures that strategy, change, and operational realities are communicated coherently to employees and managers. The position serves as a strategic communications partner to the Group Transformation Office and the program sponsors and is responsible for the company-wide communications approach to transformation.
The role is responsible for the strategic communication of the transformation portfolio, defines the cross-program transformation narrative, establishes communication standards, advises senior management and program sponsors on communication strategy, and shapes the explanation of the transformation to the workforce. As the highest authority on communication for transformation matters, the position holds extensive authority.
The role is designed to evolve into a team lead position. As the transformation portfolio grows, the “Transformation Communications Lead (m/f/d)” will build and lead a small team of specialists. From the outset, the position carries the necessary seniority, decision-making authority, and access to stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the company-wide transformation narrative and its consistent implementation across all initiatives
- Developing and managing the communication strategy for key transformation programs in various business units
- Advising executive management and key stakeholders on communication issues during the transformation
- Empowering and coaching leaders to communicate the transformation credibly and effectively
- Creating conversation guides, message houses, and briefing packages to support leadership communication
- Defining and introducing communication standards and formats for program teams
- Developing a reusable communication toolkit for the transformation process, including templates and feedback mechanisms
- Establishing and ensuring quality standards across the entire communication portfolio
- Establishing feedback groups to measure perceptions and identify communication barriers
- Analyzing feedback and adjusting communication measures for continuous optimization
Your Profile
- A college degree (bachelor’s or higher) in communication studies, business administration, social sciences, or a related field – equivalent professional experience is accepted
- At least 5–7 years of professional experience, with a focus on transformation or change communication at the executive level
- A proven track record of successfully advising executives in complex change situations
- Experience in regulated industries such as manufacturing, defense, and aerospace
- Strategic mindset combined with practical expertise in writing and implementing communication initiatives
- Confident demeanor and assertiveness when advising executives, even in challenging conversations
- Strong judgment to focus on key issues
- A good understanding of organizational structures and political dynamics, without engaging in politics oneself
- Motivation and willingness to grow into a team leader role and to support the professional development of colleagues
- Excellent written and spoken German and English at a native or near-native level
