About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-driven Stores Clerk to ensure the accurate receiving, storing, issuing, and recording of materials within our operational environment. In this role, you will support the full material-handling process; from receiving and verifying incoming goods, to issuing stock against approved job cards, performing cycle counts, and maintaining accurate documentation for audit purposes.
You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring that stock is routed, stored, and issued correctly and on time. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-moving environment and has a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience Required:

Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.

A qualification or certificate in stock control is advantageous.

Minimum 2 years' experience in material or component handling within a store or warehouse environment.

Experience in an electronic manufacturing or technical environment is highly advantageous.
Key Technical Skills Required:

Computer literacy: MS Office, Q-Muzik, or experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Good understanding of raw materials, stock control processes, quality control, and material cost tracking.

Strong ability to pick orders accurately against inventory and job cards.

Knowledge of proper material-handling practices, including ESD, FIFO, ROHS & REACH requirements.

High accuracy in counting, verifying, and identifying stock.
-
Experience with labelling, packing, storing, and bin allocation according to standard operating procedures.

Understanding of inventory compliance, audit documentation, and traceability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Handling & Adherence to Time Schedules
-
Receive and verify goods against GRNs for correctness and quantity; decide on acceptance into stores.
-
Allocate goods to correct stock locations, works orders, and requisitions.
-
Record all stock movements accurately in the MRP system.
-
Perform binning, physical placement of components, and update transactions accordingly.
-
Label and store items according to company standards.

Manage safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of materials.
-
Ensure bin allocation follows MRP, lot control, ESD, ROHS, REACH, FIFO, and all relevant stock-keeping rules.
2. Cost & Inventory Control
-
Minimise risk by preventing loss, damage, and unnecessary scrapping of components.

Conduct regular cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory records.

Maintain and capture all movement transactions in real time.
-
Direct the flow of goods into, through, and out of storage facilities.
-
Identify inefficiencies and contribute to reducing waste and improving stock accuracy.
3. Authorities & Compliance

File GRNs and inventory documentation for audit and traceability.

Ensure compliance with ROHS, REACH, lot control, and issuing requirements.

Maintain a clean, well-labelled, and compliant storage area.
4. General, Policies & Safety Regulations
-
Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Line Manager.

Record and link serial numbers accurately for traceability.
-
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and disciplinary code.
-
Provide accurate, timely feedback to the Supervisor.
-
Report any OHS, ISO, or ESD risks or non-compliance issues immediately.
