About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and optimise complex software systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and seamlessly interoperable, while delivering technical leadership across the software development lifecycle.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including systems engineers, software developers, and stakeholders—to translate requirements into robust, high-quality solutions. Your expertise will drive performance optimisation, integration success, and adherence to architectural principles.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum: BEng or BSc in Computer Science (or equivalent).

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years in software development with a focus on system design and integration.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong technical product knowledge and delivery experience.

• Ability to design systems aligned to standard solutions and architectural principles.

• Working knowledge of multiple software products and platforms.

• Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Architecture

• Develop and document high-level system architectures, interfaces, and data flows.

• Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of solutions.

• Conduct and facilitate design reviews to ensure architectural integrity.

2. System Implementation, Verification & Validation

• Oversee integration of software components to ensure seamless interoperability.

• Define, verify, and validate test procedures and documentation.

• Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to enable efficient integration.

3. Task Planning & Project Support

• Contribute to project planning and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

• Ensure deliverables align with technical design and management processes.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Produce and maintain detailed system design and implementation documentation.

• Prepare reports and technical presentations for diverse audiences.
