Job Purpose:

To support Product Owners, Product Managers, and Engineers in the development, assembly, testing, and verification of hardware products.

Qualification & Experience:

  • T3/N6/S4 Diploma in Electronic Engineering; B-Tech qualification is advantageous

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a product development environment

  • Experience in RF measurements, IPC certification, analog and digital electronics, and test equipment is an advantage

Key Technical Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of RF concepts and the ITU environment

  • Proficient in Electromagnetics (RF concepts)

  • Ability to write technical documentation such as Acceptance Test Procedures, Result Records, and Technical Reports (finalised by Product Owner)

  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, networks, and operating system installation and maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

Product Assembly:

  • Interpret electronic circuit diagrams and assembly drawings

  • Batch and kit components for assembly

  • Perform quality assembly of RF sub-assemblies, mechanical components, PCBs, and cables

  • Assist with higher-level system integration and product evaluation

  • Install and modify product software as required

Product Verification and Testing:

  • Verify products against draft specifications or test procedures (ATP)

  • Record test results and implement updates as per design instructions

  • Conduct product validation testing according to documentation

  • Maintain requirements management tools and provide fault logs to the software team

  • Prepare and assist with field trials, factory acceptance tests, and demos

Technical Documentation:

  • Assist in compiling acceptance test procedures, result records, and technical reports

  • Verify and provide input for assembly documentation

  • Support product training activities

Infrastructure Set-Up:

  • Manage IT infrastructure including router setup (TCP/IP)

  • Set up and maintain PC infrastructure using Linux, Windows, and Windows Server, including network configuration
