About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and results-driven Packaging Supervisor to lead and optimise packaging, shipping, inventory, fleet, and logistics operations within our GEW Business Unit. This role is responsible for ensuring products are packaged, documented, stored, and dispatched in accordance with customer, quality, safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving operational excellence by managing inventory accuracy, logistics efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team performance while ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of products. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong operational planning capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications and experience:

Minimum Diploma in Packaging, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related fields.

Minimum 5 years' experience (preferably 7 years) within a packaging, logistics, warehousing, or shipping environment.

Proven supervisory experience leading operational teams.

Experience in inventory control, shipping coordination, and logistics operations.

Exposure to hazardous goods handling and export documentation will be advantageous.

Demonstrated experience in driving operational efficiency, compliance, and service delivery.
Key technical skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Knowledge of packaging standards, quality control processes, and regulatory requirements.

Understanding of hazardous goods packaging regulations, battery transportation requirements, and CAT 6 dangerous goods regulations.

Inventory management and stock control expertise.

Fleet coordination and logistics management capabilities.
Key responsibility areas:
Packaging, Shipping and Regulatory Compliance.

Coordinate packaging, shipping, quality, and regulatory compliance activities across customer, project, and operational requirements to ensure products are packaged, documented, and dispatched in accordance with contractual, quality, and legislative standards, resulting in accurate, compliant, and on-time deliveries that maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Inventory and Materials Management.

Manage inventory, packaging materials, and stock control activities within the operational environment to ensure the availability, accuracy, and efficient utilisation of resources, resulting in uninterrupted operations, reduced waste, and optimal inventory performance.
Fleet and Logistics Operations.

Oversee fleet and logistics operations across transportation and distribution activities to ensure vehicle availability, operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective resource utilisation, resulting in reliable logistics support and efficient service delivery.
Operational Reporting and Performance Management.

Monitor operational performance, compliance metrics, and ESG reporting requirements across packaging, shipping, inventory, and fleet activities to provide accurate business insights and support informed decision-making, resulting in improved operational effectiveness, governance, and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership and Capability Development.

Lead packaging and logistics teams within a safe and performance-driven environment to develop capability, optimise workforce effectiveness, and achieve operational objectives, resulting in a competent, engaged, and accountable workforce that consistently delivers quality, cost, and delivery targets.
