About the Role
The Industrialisation Technologist establishes and maintains accurate, production-ready product structures, master data and manufacturing operations within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The role translates approved engineering information into controlled product baselines to support efficient, compliant and cost-effective production.
Qualification and experience:
- Minimum Advanced Diploma/BTech in Electronic Engineering or a related qualification.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience within a military electronics environment, preferably in industrialisation, production engineering or a related technical role.
- Practical experience working with electronic product structures, manufacturing processes and engineering data in a production environment.
- Experience using ERP systems within a technical or manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities:
Product Industrialisation and ERP Setup
Establish product master data, BOMs, product structures, part numbers, manufacturing routings and assembly standard times within the ERP system to translate approved engineering data into controlled manufacturing information, resulting in complete and production-ready product baselines.
Product Structure and Configuration Control
Verify and maintain product structures, Part Master records, component statuses, supplier information and approved engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle to align ERP data with authorised configuration requirements, resulting in accurate, current and traceable product information.
Component Compliance and Lifecycle Management
Evaluate and maintain component and PCB information against obsolescence, RoHS and REACH requirements to identify and address component-related risks, resulting in compliant product structures and improved continuity of production supply.
Industrialisation and Engineering Readiness
Coordinate industrialisation readiness reviews with CAD, Engineering and relevant technical stakeholders to verify documentation, resolve discrepancies and capture approved changes before production implementation, resulting in complete and accurately industrialised product information.
Manufacturing Operations and Standard-Time Verification
Analyse and maintain manufacturing operations, routings and assembly standard times against actual production performance to identify variances and implement justified adjustments, resulting in reliable production planning, costing and operational standards.
