About the Role
HENSOLDT GEW is seeking an Industrialisation Specialist to join our multidisciplinary technical team in the Engineering department. This role offers the opportunity to create and lead the implementation of Industrialisation processes as part of the overall Product Development Process. The Industrialisation Specialist is the process owner of the Industrialisation and Environmental Qualification process in the Engineering department. The role also coordinates all Environmental Qualification and Industrialisation activities in the Hardware Engineering department. Lead industrialisation from concept into series production to reduce rework, accelerate maturity, and simplify build/test.
Qualifications and Technical Requirements:
- Minimum B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Electronic / Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years, preferably 10 years or more experience working in a product development and industrialisation environment.
- Must have proven practical experience in an electronic product development environment.
- Experience of taking a product through the product development process through to a production-ready state.
- Excellent knowledge of the Product life-cycle process
- Be process driven with initiative to implement processes that will lead to continuous improvement of processes and workflows
- Very good knowledge of modern production processes and procedures
- Proven knowledge and experience in product environmental requirement management (MIL-STD and/or DO-160)
- Good working knowledge of the QMUZIK business management system will be advantageous.
Key Performance Areas
- Industrialisation Management
• Drive product industrialisation strategy and readiness.
• Align Engineering and Production for manufacturability and reliability.
• Lead design-for-manufacture reviews and readiness checkpoints.
• Coordinate industrialisation actions, schedules, and bi-weekly progress meetings.
2. Environmental Qualification
• Define environmental compliance requirements (MIL-STD, DO-160, CE).
• Develop qualification plans and support testing activities.
• Maintain qualification status reporting and advise on compliance for RFIs/RFPs.
3. Industrialisation Processes & Lifecycle
• Resolve production/process issues with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain product lifecycle and industrialisation status databases.
• Support tooling, jigs, and production requirements.
• Facilitate product phase-out and lifecycle transitions
