About the Role
The ILS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) solutions across the product lifecycle to maximise system availability, reliability, maintainability, and long-term customer support. Working closely with engineering, project teams, customers, and business stakeholders, the role ensures effective lifecycle support strategies that enhance operational performance, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum BEng/BSc in Electronic Engineering or a similar university qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Reliability Engineering, Product Support, or Lifecycle Support environment.
- Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance.

Key responsibilities:
Integrated Logistics Support Strategy and Programme Delivery
Develop and implement integrated logistics support strategies, maintenance frameworks, and lifecycle solutions across customer programmes to optimise system availability, supportability, and long-term operational performance, resulting in successful project delivery within quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Reliability Engineering and Lifecycle Optimisation
Perform reliability, maintainability, obsolescence, configuration, and lifecycle analyses throughout the product lifecycle to optimise support strategies, reduce lifecycle risks, and improve overall system performance and customer support outcomes.
Customer Engagement and Solution Development
Engage customers and internal stakeholders to develop integrated lifecycle support solutions that align operational requirements with engineering objectives, resulting in effective solution implementation and enhanced customer satisfaction.
Technical Analysis, Proposals and Reporting
Apply technical engineering analysis, modelling, FMECA, and reporting practices to support proposals, tenders, investigations, and quality processes, resulting in compliant, data-driven solutions and informed business decision-making.
Capability Development and Continuous Improvement
Drive knowledge sharing, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and customer support functions to strengthen organisational capability, improve Integrated Logistics Support practices, and enhance long-term customer service delivery.
