About the role 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Lead to partner with management in driving a robust, integrated risk management culture. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, risk strategies, and business continuity protocols that support organisational resilience. The role requires continuous risk assessments, proactive risk mitigation, compliance monitoring, and enterprise-wide training initiatives across high-complexity defense system development and production environments. 

 


Qualifications and experience
 

  • Minimum BTech Degree, Preferably Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.  

  • Essential Training Courses: 

  • EN9100 or equivalent 

  • ISO 9001 or equivalent 

  • ISO 31000 or equivalent 

  • ISO 22301 or equivalent 

  • 3–5 years' experience in applying safety, health, environmental, and quality systems within complex defense manufacturing and design environments. Exposure to quality techniques and business process improvement essential. 

 

Key Technical Skills 

  • Strong background in design, manufacturing, and after-sales support. 

  • Experience with optical, mechanical, electronic, and electro-optical systems is advantageous. 

  • Working knowledge of: 

  • ISO 31000 and related risk management tools. 

  • ISO 22301 and business continuity management practices. 

  • Ability to operate in cross-functional teams and interface with senior stakeholders. 

  • Capable of training and developing risk champions across departments. 

 

 
Key responsibilities 

1. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) 

  • Develop and implement ERM Policy aligned with Group ERM standards. 

  • Guide integration of risk management into corporate strategy and planning. 

  • Ensure quality departmental risk registers are completed and updated. 

  • Evaluate internal controls for effectiveness in achieving organisational goals. 

  • Partner with Executive Management Team (EMT) and Risk Committee on risk identification and prioritisation. 

  • Proactively identify emerging risks and report to stakeholders. 

  • Test and validate the effectiveness of risk management in decision-making. 

2. Business Continuity Management (BCM) 

  • Maintain and test the company-wide business continuity program. 

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) covering recovery and emergency responses. 

  • Facilitate crisis management simulations and recovery tests. 

  • Provide support to Crisis Management Committee with real-time decision-making data. 

3. Risk response measures 

  • Engage with department heads on adequacy of risk mitigation actions. 

  • Monitor implementation of risk treatment plans and regulatory compliance. 

  • Deliver accurate risk performance reporting to senior management.

4. Training and awareness 

  • Identify and develop training programs for risk management and BCM. 

  • Build enterprise-wide risk awareness and competence. 

  • Train and support departmental risk champions in system application.

5. Strategic engagement and general duties 

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Ensure executive buy-in for risk initiatives and promote top-down implementation. 

  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation strategies. 

  • Attend and contribute to Risk and BCM Committee meetings. 

  • Fulfil responsibilities as outlined in the QMS Manual and associated procedures.
