About the role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Systems Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary Engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the full systems engineering life cycle, from defining operational concepts and system requirements to supporting integration, verification, and technical management activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BSc / BEng in Electronic, Software, Mechanical or related Engineering field.
• BSc/BEng (Hons) or MSc/MEng advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’; preferably 5 years’ experience in advanced engineering environments, doing complex system architectures.
• Formal training in System Life Cycle Management is advantageous

Key Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, processes, and lifecycle activities, including requirements, design, integration, verification, and validation within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Ability to extract, interpret, analyse, and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment across system architectures and lifecycle stages.
• Proficiency in system architecture development, system modelling, and performance analysis, supported by a solid foundation in mathematics, physical sciences, and engineering principles.
• Ability to utilise systems engineering tools for requirements management and system performance modelling to support effective design, analysis, and decision-making.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to rapidly acquire and apply system-specific knowledge in complex technical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements & Architecture Management

Define and manage system requirements and architectures within the systems engineering framework to ensure traceability, alignment, and compliance with stakeholder, functional, and physical design expectations.

• Technical Solution Development & Compliance

Support the development of system-level technical solutions within design, cost, schedule, and regulatory constraints to ensure compliant, supportable, manufacturable, and safe system outcomes.

• System Analysis & Engineering Assurance

Conduct system analyses, modelling, simulations, and trade-off studies within the engineering lifecycle to optimise system performance, inform design decisions, and ensure robust risk and cost management.

• System Integration, Verification & Lifecycle Execution

Support system integration, testing, verification, validation, and lifecycle activities within defined engineering processes to ensure successful system realisation, performance compliance, and operational readiness.

• Technical Governance, Stakeholder & Project Support

Coordinate technical governance, stakeholder engagement, and project support activities within programme and engineering environments to ensure alignment, effective communication, risk management, and delivery against project objectives.
