Qualifications and experience

• • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Project Management, Commerce, or a related discipline. 

  • Formal training in Bid Management, Project Management, Proposal Management, or equivalent. 

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in bid management, proposal development, technical sales support, contract coordination, or a similar role within a technical, engineering, manufacturing, defence, or high-technology environment. 

  • Proven experience working within cross-functional and matrix organisations. 

  • Experience working with commercial contracts, tender submissions, and customer proposal processes. 

  • Exposure to complex engineered products, systems, services, or solutions. 

Key technical skills

  • Technical, Commercial, and Contractual Understanding 

  • Requirements Analysis and Compliance Management 

  • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Statement of Work (SOW) Development 

  • Costing, Pricing, and Commercial Alignment 

  • Risk Identification and Governance Management 

  • Planning, Scheduling, and Bid Lifecycle Management 

  • Document Control and Quality Assurance

Key responsibilities

1. End-to-end bid management and governance

   • Manage and govern the full bid lifecycle to ensure compliant, approved, competitive, and timely bid submissions aligned to customer requirements and organisational objectives.  es.

2. Scope, requirements and compliance control

   • Lead the definition, control, and traceability of customer requirements, technical scope, deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, and compliance obligations to ensure complete and executable bid submissions. 

3. Costing, commercial alignment and Risk Management

   • Coordinate costing, pricing, commercial assumptions, contractual considerations, and risk management activities to ensure commercially viable, executable, and approved proposals. 

4. Stakeholder and partner coordination

   • Coordinate internal stakeholders, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and external consultants to ensure integrated, aligned, and high-quality bid submissions. 

5. Submission, handover and continuous improvement

   • Manage bid submission, clarification, handover, and continuous improvement activities to ensure effective transition into execution and ongoing enhancement of bid quality and competitivenes
