About the Role
The Production Engineer leads and supports multidisciplinary engineering activities across the product development and industrialisation lifecycle by establishing Manufacturing and Support Baselines (MBL/SBL), developing producibility solutions, and commissioning production capabilities. The role ensures production processes are efficient, sustainable, compliant, and successfully transitioned to Operations.
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering; preferably B.Tech in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
- Good understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly principles, including DFMA tools and methodologies, design optimisation, manufacturing technologies, and supplier development.
- Good product knowledge of high-precision manufactured products and technologies.
- Experience in production line design, commissioning, and optimisation.
- Experience working with SAP.

Key responsiabilities:
Producibility Analysis
Develop producibility solutions, assembly and test strategies, process flows, and manufacturing risk mitigation plans throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure products are producible, repeatable, maintainable, and aligned with DFMAS principles.
Assembly Line Requirements and Design
Design assembly line workflows, workstations, tooling, test equipment, facilities, resource requirements, and production support infrastructure within industrialisation programmes to establish efficient, capable, and sustainable production environments that meet manufacturing and operational requirements.
Manufacturing Baseline and SAP Management
Establish and maintain Manufacturing and Support Baselines, operational procedures, production documentation, and SAP manufacturing data throughout the product lifecycle to ensure production readiness, configuration control, operational consistency, and effective assembly-line execution.
Assembly Line Commissioning and Acceptance
Lead production line establishment, commissioning, readiness reviews, throughput validation, training, and operational acceptance with multidisciplinary teams and Operations stakeholders to ensure compliant production capability and successful handover to Operations.
Industrialisation Support and Continuous Improvement
Support Product Industrialisation objectives through compliance with company policies, continuous improvement initiatives, and professional development to enhance manufacturing capability, operational effectiveness, and overall business performance.
