About the Role
The Senior Project Manager leads the execution of complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects to ensure delivery within agreed scope, schedule, budget, technical and quality requirements. The role drives cross-functional collaboration, manages project risks and stakeholder expectations, and maintains effective governance throughout the project lifecycle to achieve successful project and customer outcomes.
Qualification and experience:
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 6 years' project management experience.
- Formal Project Management training required.
- Experience in the development, integration and evaluation of complex multidisciplinary systems.
- Experience within the aerospace or radar systems environment will be highly advantageous.
- Proven track record of successful team leadership and stakeholder management.
- Experience defining, implementing and leading project risk management processes.

Key responsibilities:
Project Planning and Governance
Lead the planning and governance of complex engineering projects by defining scope, schedules, budgets, resources and contractual milestones to establish effective project control, resulting in structured and compliant execution against approved project objectives.
Project Delivery and Execution
Drive project execution across multidisciplinary teams, procurement activities and technical reviews to control cost, schedule, quality and delivery performance, resulting in achievement of project milestones and customer commitments.
Risk and Stakeholder Management
Manage project risks, issues and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle to maintain alignment, enable informed decision-making and address delivery constraints, resulting in controlled project exposure and effective stakeholder outcomes.
Technical and Quality Assurance
Coordinate engineering, systems, quality assurance and supplier activities across project delivery to ensure technical solutions meet operational, maintainability and production requirements, resulting in compliant outputs aligned with engineering and quality standards.
Project Closure and Continuous Improvement
Manage project handover and closure through technical and financial reviews, lessons learned and formal closure reporting to confirm completion and capture improvement opportunities, resulting in effective project close-out and strengthened future project performance.
