About the Role
The Development Engineer is responsible for the design, development, integration, verification and lifecycle support of electronic hardware and software products. The role works across the product development lifecycle to deliver innovative, reliable and production-ready engineering solutions that meet technical, customer and business requirements.
Qualification and experience:
- Minimum BEng in Electronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years' applicable engineering development experience.
- Experience in electronic product development, verification and product lifecycle support.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering and product development environment will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities:
Product Design and Development
Design, develop, integrate and verify electronic hardware and software products throughout the development lifecycle to meet defined technical and customer requirements and deliver reliable, compliant and production-ready engineering solutions.
Product Industrialisation and Lifecycle Support
Support product industrialisation, qualification, manufacturing readiness and lifecycle activities across engineering and production environments to enable effective production transfer and ensure sustainable long-term product performance.
Product Configuration and Technical Documentation
Develop and maintain product requirements, technical documentation, engineering records and configuration baselines throughout the product lifecycle to ensure technical traceability and maintain product configuration integrity.
Technical Support and Stakeholder Collaboration
Provide engineering expertise and technical support to Product Owners, Production, Programmes, Customer Services, suppliers and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and enable successful product implementation and customer support.
Engineering Excellence and Capability Development
Contribute to engineering planning, technical reviews, continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the engineering environment to strengthen technical capability and improve product quality and engineering effectiveness.
